The Jenbacher® Type 4 Series

High Power Density with Fuel Flexibility

Type-4 combines proven technology from Type-3 and Type-6 models, offering excellent power per unit size, with the ability to run on many different gases (natural gas, biogas, sewage gas, landfill gas, etc.).

Outstanding Efficiency & Reliability

Designed for both 50 and 60 Hz operation, featuring advanced cooling, monitoring, and combustion control, yielding high electrical and overall efficiency, plus reliable performance and easy maintenance.

Durability & Easy Maintenance

Equipped with features like a high-power turbocharger, four-valve cylinder head, and “crack” connecting rod design to reduce wear, simplify repairs, and maintain performance even under harsh conditions.

Scalable & Versatile Applications

Power range from roughly ~850 to ~1,560 kW, suitable for generator sets, cogeneration (CHP), or containerised modules. Offers heat recovery options and compatibility in diverse installations.
