How SVG Is Different From Conventional Capacitor Banks

SVG technology outperforms conventional capacitor banks by offering real-time, dynamic reactive power compensation with a response time of under 10 ms—far faster than mechanically switched capacitor banks. It requires no manual adjustment, delivers higher reliability, and significantly reduces maintenance needs. With a much smaller footprint and superior stability against load fluctuations, SVG provides an advanced, space-efficient, and future-ready solution for modern industrial power systems.

Applications Across Industries

OES has deployed four high-performance SVG systems across Pakistan, supporting a combined 32 MVar of reactive power compensation. These systems stabilize nearly 83 MW of industrial load and seamlessly integrate over 96 MW of renewable energy from wind and solar resources, significantly improving power quality, voltage stability, and grid reliability across cement, textile, and spinning industries.

Cement Industry

OES deploys SVG systems in cement plants to stabilize heavy industrial loads and eliminate voltage flicker caused by crushers and mills. The technology also ensures seamless integration of large-scale solar and wind energy.

Textile Industry

In textile units, OES uses SVG technology to deliver real-time reactive power compensation for spinning, weaving, and processing machines. This enhances power factor, prevents voltage dips, and supports hybrid renewable energy setups.
